Gone Gluten Free

After days, months perhaps even a year, after I first promised myself I will treat myself properly and eliminate the foods that make me feel unwell, last Friday I leaped into the Gluten Free band wagon again. It is hard especially at this time of year, with all the treats and Christmas Cheer, but I am determined to get better and fit before I kick back into full time training come January 1, 2011. I have had excruciating headaches over the past few days, as well as a lot of confusion (but this may also be because of the lack of sleep I have been getting), but hopefully I will be able to benefit from the positive foods I am putting into my body very shortly. It also doesn't help that I still haven't gone for a decent run in a while, so the first chance I get to complete this will be Saturday, and this is when I plan to do my favorite Trout Lake Route with the BF. Other goals I am trying to achieve this week is to get final plans for the Christmas Dinner that I will be preparing on Friday Night (aka Christmas Eve).

Does anyone have any good Gluten Free recipes for the Christmas Season, or know of any good Gluten Free websites??

  1. I haven't done the Gluten-Free thing but a friend of mine has recently started doing it so he'd feel better training (a big Triathlete); so far so good for him. I hope it works out, I bet there is a ton of information online!!

Did you get your holiday blog exchange gift out?? Or receive yours?

Thanks bunches!! Have a great weekend!

  4. Hi Jill!
I feel a lot better since starting my gluten free diet, I don't have as many tummy troubles in the morning like I used to when I was eating a lot of Rubbish. I have to weed out all the information that I have received, and just pick things that are associated with my needs, a very big job indeed! Yes I sent off the secret blog present 2 weeks ago, so I hope that they receive it in time for Christmas, and yeas I received mine yesterday! What a great surprise, thanks for organizing it :)

  6. Hi Terri,
All is going well so far! Christmas is looming though, and all the temptations are there! I just need to stay on track and make sure that I don't get tempting by the treats! I will post some glutent free recipes that I find work for me in the coming months :)

  7. Yes I did receive your present!!! I clicked on gluten free because we were doing this with my youngest with Autism. I think as an adult it can be easier to adjust your diet as compared to a picky toddler! living without is a good magazine that has a website that is helpful.
